The Overwatch 2 developer team has announced a real-time fix for the character Sigma, addressing a recent bug that caused a temporary pause in his use in ranked matches. They reassure gamers that they’re working on more solutions for a variety of heroes.
Sigma’s short removal from Overwatch 2 isn’t unique, but thankfully, it was a fleeting issue. The gaming community quickly spotted a significant problem with Sigma after a new update was implemented. The glitch made Sigma capable of flying non-stop during his Ultimate ability.
Gamers exploiting this glitch led to the character’s immediate disabling in the competitive playlist, although he was still available in the Quick Play mode. The latest Overwatch 2 patch brings a range of gameplay and hero ability tweaks, and introduces an exciting new game mode, Starwatch. This mode offers a blend of player-versus-player and player-versus-environment experiences, available for a limited period.
