If he is recruited, he can become a potential ally or enemy in the endgame, depending on whether the player supports or opposes the Patriarch. If he is betrayed, he can escape and vow revenge against the Rangers. In any case, Cordite’s fate and the situation in the Eastern Plains are left unresolved by the end of Wasteland 3, leaving room for a possible sequel.
Some fans have speculated that Wasteland 4 might follow the Rangers as they travel to the Eastern Plains to deal with Cordite and the other warlords, or to establish a new base of operations there. The Eastern Plains could offer a new and different setting for the series, with its own factions, locations, and challenges. The game could also explore the consequences of the player’s actions in Wasteland 3, and how they affect the balance of power in Colorado and beyond.
Of course, this is all just speculation, and there is no guarantee that Wasteland 4 will ever be made, let alone set in Kansas.
