Unity announces new plans, pricing and packages for 2023

Unity, the leading platform for creating and operating real-time 3D content, has announced some changes to its plans, pricing and packages for 2023. The changes are aimed at providing more value, flexibility and choice for creators of all levels and industries.

According to the official tweet post, Unity will introduce three new subscription plans: Unity Personal, Unity Plus and Unity Pro. These plans will replace the current Unity Personal, Unity Plus, Unity Pro and Unity Enterprise plans. The new plans will offer more features, services and learning resources for different needs and budgets.

Unity Personal will be free for individuals and hobbyists who earn less than $100K in annual revenue or funding. It will include the full version of the Unity Editor, access to all platforms, 20 GB of cloud storage, access to Unity Learn Premium and more.

Unity Plus will cost $40 per month for individuals and teams who earn less than $200K in annual revenue or funding. It will include everything in Unity Personal, plus 50 GB of cloud storage, access to Unity Teams Advanced, priority support, access to Unity Learn Premium Plus and more.

Unity Pro will cost $150 per month for professionals and teams who earn more than $200K in annual revenue or funding. It will include everything in Unity Plus, plus 200 GB of cloud storage, access to Unity Cloud Build Pro, access to source code, access to Unity Success Advisor and more.

In addition to the new subscription plans, Unity will also offer two new packages: Unity Essentials and Unity Enterprise. These packages will provide additional features and services for specific use cases and industries.

Unity Essentials will be a bundle of tools and assets for beginners and students who want to learn how to create with Unity. It will include the Unity Editor, access to all platforms, access to Unity Learn Premium, access to a curated asset store collection and more. It will be free for anyone who signs up for a Unity ID.

Unity Enterprise will be a custom solution for large organizations and projects that require advanced features and services. It will include everything in Unity Pro, plus dedicated support, custom training, consulting services, volume discounts and more. It will be available upon request.

The new plans, pricing and packages will take effect on January 1st, 2023. Existing subscribers will have the option to keep their current plan or switch to a new one. New subscribers will be able to choose from the new options when they sign up for Unity.

Unity claims that the changes are based on feedback from its community of over 1.8 million monthly active creators. The company says that it wants to empower more people to realize their creative vision with Unity, while also ensuring its long-term sustainability and innovation.
