In an unexpected move, Microsoft has rolled out a fresh, unique design for its Xbox Series X/S controller – the Arctic Camo Special Edition. This announcement is sure to pique the interest of Xbox gamers who have been on the hunt for a new wireless controller.
However, this is not just another custom design made available through the Xbox Design Lab. Rather, it’s a standalone special edition offering, now available for purchase on the Microsoft Store.
In addition to its availability on the Microsoft Store, there is a likelihood that this new Arctic Camo controller might also grace other retail outlets in the future, similar to what happened with the Xbox One Arctic Camo controller several years ago.

Microsoft’s camo controllers have a storied past, with a variety of designs being made available for Xbox consoles over the years. Even now, there are multiple camo controllers up for grabs on the Microsoft Store as well as other retail platforms. These include the vibrant blue Mineral Camo Special Edition and the striking red and black Daystrike Camo Special Edition.
Furthermore, the Xbox Design Lab offers a diverse range of five distinct camo patterns for gamers to choose from. Among these patterns are eye-catching pink, vibrant orange, and lively green designs, broadening the options for personalization. Interestingly, the Xbox Design Lab also includes the new Arctic Camo pattern, allowing gamers to incorporate this design in their custom controllers.
