The filed patents by Microsoft include an “enhanced eye tracking system” and a “head-mounted display with eye-tracking system,” which could be potentially used for VR gaming. However, it is worth noting that patents don’t always lead to actual products.
Overall, it is unclear if Microsoft will eventually develop a dedicated VR gaming headset, as the current state of the industry may be discouraging the company from fully committing to this market.
